AvaTrade Code 128979: What It Really Does

I get asked about partner codes constantly. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?

No. AvaTrade doesn't charge commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code doesn't change that.

Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. That's all it does.

How much do you get?

Deposit $1,000 and get $200.

$2,000 gets you $400.

$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.

Maximum bonus is $14,000 for deposits above $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.

UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Top tier reaches £11,200.

You can open an account with $100. Minimum for any bonus is $1,000.

Finding the partner code field

During registration. Below the phone field, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click the arrow. A field drops down. Type **128979**.

People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.

If the system rejects it, don't panic. Go ahead and register anyway. Message your account manager before you deposit. Request partner code 128979 be added. Standard practice for them.

You can't withdraw the bonus straight away

A trading volume condition applies.

Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. $200 bonus requires 2,000,000 units of trading volume. Takes a while if you trade small. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.

Your own money stays yours. Take it out anytime. Only the bonus avatrade partner code 128979 has the restriction.

One thing worth knowing: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. Allows for slightly larger trades. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
